Learning from the Doctor-Patient Relationship to Improve Quality of Care: Perspectives from Europe, Africa, and the United States

This conference looked at social determinants of health and how to care for vulnerable populations—in Europe, West Africa, and the US—through the lens of the doctor-patient relationship. The three co-sponsoring partners provided expertise in areas of global health, physician-patient communication and decision-making, and medical ethics. This conference was co-sponsored with the University of Chicago Center in Paris, the University of Chicago Center for Global Health and the Bucksbaum Institute for Clinical Excellence.
