Research

The Center for Innovation in Global Health (CIGH) supports a wide range of public health research through collaborations with our international partners. As part of a major research university, CIGH fosters faculty and student engagement in projects that explore evolving trends and engage partners in shared inquiry.

CIGH’s research priorities include:

Newly published study from the research team of Dr. C. 'Sola' Olopade

Duncan S, et al. (2025) “Impact of fine particulate matter air pollution (PM2.5) on Nigerian children’s performance on tests of cognitive and neurobehavioral development at age seven years”

Expanding global access to cancer genetics services

A colloquium in Paris brought together cancer genetics experts from the US, UK, Europe and Africa to develop real-world solutions to implement genetics services in more countries.
