In recent years there has been an unprecedented increase in global health interest among students and faculty across university campuses, including the University of Chicago. The Center for Global Health is committed to increasing opportunities for students on campus, particularly in the College, both in the classroom and the field. CGH advocates for expanded course offerings that include global health content, and was integral in launching “Introduction to Global Health” and “Topics in Global Health” in the College. The Center offers a global health module through the University of Chicago Paris Center study abrod for undergraduate students. You can find details from our latest cohort from the Winter of 2014 here. CGH is also working to increase the number of internship opportunities in global health at partner sites for students to gain first-hand experience the field.
For more ways to become involved, below is a list of several student programs for the College that focus on one or more topics in global health.
